The massive US deficit is threatening the health of the world economy, the Davos Forum has been told. The US is relying on a weak dollar strategy to correct its deficit but that would take an unacceptably high degree of dollar depreciation, causing the US and global economies to crash, according to Morgan Stanley economist Stephen Roach.
